John Patberg brings to clients more than 30 years of experience in strategic consulting and marketing management applied to planning and executing business growth strategies, using new products, new distribution channels, and acquisitions. Throughout his career, John has acted as a catalyst and agent for change by clarifying customer expectations, understanding top line growth opportunities, and implementing efficient and effective operating practices across his clients’ and employers’ organizations.
As a business advisor, Mr. Patberg focuses on providing strategy, marketing, and sales assistance to companies that need additional resources to fully capture their growth opportunities. His management and consulting experience is concentrated in technology industries, with large incumbents and small, fast growing new entrants, including telecom and datacom equipment manufacturers and distributors, network operators, and communications, information, entertainment and applications service providers.
Most recently, Mr. Patberg was a Partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers Consulting, where he led engagements for Information and Communications industry clients. Previously, he was a founder and Partner in Technology Management Group, a Director of Marketing at Matrix Instruments, and held various research and marketing management positions at the Network Systems Division of AT&T (now Lucent).
Mr. Patberg holds degrees in Applied Mathematics (BA) and Computer Science (MS) from Brown University, and in Business (MS) from Columbia University.
