With a career in the Technology sector that extends 20 years, Rex is a proven new business salesman, with a track record of multi-million dollar deals secured in the fields of infrastructure, software licenses and consultancy services.
More recently, as an entrepreneur, Rex has enjoyed the challenge of working with organizations from the point of start-up or business recovery, implementing sales strategy, execution activities and establishing business models to produce revenue growth. These activity are now continuing into Africa, Europe and the USA with 2Market IT.
Prior to 2Market IT, Rex worked with UK-based leader in e-learning and e-marketing solutions, Amaze. Leading new business activity during the post-dotcom dip, securing $5m in new account wins in the Central and Local Government sectors and in corporate accounts in Financial Services, Utilities, Pharmaceutical & Leisure industries.
During the dotcom boom, Rex was Alliance Director at marchFIRST, where he secured $13m in service projects across EMEA, working at board level with Microsoft, Novell and marchFIRST’s European operation.
Earlier, Rex served as Regional Sales Manager for Compaq UK, where he was responsible for sales and channel activity in Corporate accounts for a territory producing annual revenues of $150m. This period at Compaq followed a 13 year career in operations and technical consultancy with Digital Equipment Corporation. During that time, client engagements included many multi-national organisations, such as Astra Zeneca, BT, ICI, and Shell UK.
